{"id":11162,"date":"2021-02-09T15:59:43","date_gmt":"2021-02-09T15:59:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.westwoodenergy.com\/?p=11162"},"modified":"2024-01-31T12:04:21","modified_gmt":"2024-01-31T12:04:21","slug":"commercial-advisory-case-study-private-ep","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.westwoodenergy.com\/news\/case-studies\/commercial-advisory-case-study-private-ep","title":{"rendered":"Commercial Advisory Case Study &#8211; Private E&#038;P"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Project Briefing<\/h2>\n<p>The Client was considering growth opportunities outside of its home region and required an independent review of global basin exploration performance &amp; opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>The Client also wanted to understand potential partnerships with different players in each region and an understanding of above surface considerations.<\/p>\n<h2>Our Process<\/h2>\n<p>a) Understand the Client business<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discussions with Client to understand the key criteria for ranking subsurface and above ground risks.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of the Client\u2019s key strengths and abilities, and the characteristics sought in potential new partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>b) Understand the Client challenge, questions and problems to solve<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Westwood collaborated with the Client to generate consistent criteria that could be applied across a global variety of basins and companies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>c) Assess how we could help<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Westwood provided a quantitative screening of all global basins, including a review of recent exploration activity and performance, play distribution, maturity of the basin, and remaining resource potential.<\/li>\n<li>Westwood also provided an indicative ranking of above-mentioned factors \/ criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Westwood provided a benchmarking of key companies who could be considered for partnerships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Delivering Insight<\/h2>\n<p>A bespoke study underpinned by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westwoodenergy.com\/wildcat\">Wildcat<\/a><\/strong>.
